16 Jun INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DESERTIFICATION AND DROUGHT
On June 17, the United Nations celebrates the Day against desertification and drought. This year the host country of the event is Spain; conferences like these are important for everyone’s awareness.
Drought and desertification are two phenomena that have a common origin, human activity, and the same cause, climate change; The first measure to preserve the natural environment is to take responsibility for our activity.
At GRUPO TAVER, the commitment to the environment is part of its heritage; incorporated into the Company’s code of ethics commits us to prevent and minimize the adverse impacts of our activities. The result of this commitment is the ISO 14001 standard granted to us by AENOR, which certifies our commitment to protecting the environment through the management of environmental risks associated with the activity we carry out.
Thus, 100% of the energy consumed by our factory in Martorelles and our offices comes from two electricity generation facilities through photovoltaic panels. We also have a selective waste collection system incorporated; The next step is to ensure that our production process becomes a circular process: production – consumption – recycling – production. Let’s go for it!
